Flag Football History

In the mid 1800's American football was created. Princeton and Rutgers played the first college game on Nov. 6, 1869. While professional football began in an organized form around 1895.

In 1930 the first reported game of organized "Touch and Tail Football" was played. Flag Football was created on military bases in the early 1940. Military personnel played Flag Football as a recreational sport. Recreational leagues soon developed in the late 40's early 50's. These leagues were based around the ideas of and format of the softball leagues. It was then that Flag Football was officially created!

Junk Ball Flag Football makes its debut in stores nationwide in Fall of 2005.
